Monarch:Magazine Making the D.C. Metro Area it's New Home

I just had to pick up my "blogging pen" to tell you about some exciting news! The fashion, business, and lifestyle magazine, Monarch, is moving their headquarters to D.C.! Their housewarming party will he held in partnership with J. Crew at the Georgetown location on Thursday 12/16/2010. This is an invitation only event!

For anyone who still doesn’t believe that DC is becoming a fashion forward city for the urban professional, this may change your mind. MONARCH Magazine, a national lifestyle and fashion publication, has moved its corporate office to DC. The decision to move the magazine was to “…have the magazine in a place that embodies today’s culture and style for the professional…DC has that,” states Publisher Will Walters. Its first issue since calling DC home will feature NBA Star, Dwayne Wade on the cover, along with stories on musician, El DeBarge and fashion stylist Lloyd Boston.

To celebrate MONARCH’s new home, it is partnering with fashion powerhouse, J.CREW, to host an exclusive styling and shopping event at the brand’s Georgetown location. America’s Next Top Model judge Paul Wharton, and author/personal branding authority, Melissa Johnson, will host the event. Attendees will receive advice from these fashion gurus and J.CREW stylists on how to identify and transition their looks from corporate to nightlife.
